The absolute gaze
From the ridge, the first rays of the day lick the crests, revealing in the fleeting shadow the sketched shapes of a chamois. Lying on the cold stone, binoculars folded away, I deploy the Swarovski ATX 85 mm. With a steady hand, the PCT carbon tripod settles onto the rocky unevenness and the observation begins. From the very first moments, a certainty washes over me: this spotting scope redefines the standards of high-end optics.
Outstanding modularity and legendary optics
The great strength of the ATX/STX/BTX system lies in its modular design. Objective and eyepiece modules are separated, allowing the user to configure their instrument according to the requirements of the terrain or the mission: compactness with a 65 mm objective, maximum brightness with the 95 mm, or perfect balance with the 85 mm. It is this last one that I chose to accompany my observation trips in the mountains, and its performance on slopes, in the rain, or in the cold has never faltered.
