40 Years for One Arrow
I have been dreaming of hunting buffalo since 1983. I was ten years old, dreaming with a slingshot in my hand, and sometimes even with a small recreational bow. I spent my days in nature, tracking carp and pike on the banks of the Loire and the ponds of my native Sologne. I lived these first adventures as if I were already on a grand quest. That is where it all began for me: the passion, the constant self-questioning, the love of the wild. This is the evolution of a bowhunter—slowly, patiently, through encounters, practice, and discoveries.
The Roots of a Passion
The years shaped my journey. A path punctuated by defining encounters, and it is impossible not to thank all those who crossed my way: Luc Barbier, who opened the doors of the Caroux to me, Mamy, Philippe Larmann, and the school of Arthez-de-Béarn, where I experienced my first roe deer stalks. Then one day, after a few successful hunts in Namibia, this childhood idea grew and never left my mind. Hunting the buffalo, this symbol of raw power and silent strength, became my Grail, my obsession.
